LEADING IN THE HUMAN-AI ERA

A thought-leadership initiative by Eva Champagne

Remaining relevant in the age of AI.

Remaining relevant in the age of AI.

Leadership Longevity explores how experienced leaders remain relevant, effective and capable in the AI era — while carrying responsibility for leading their organisations through the same transformation. It is about combining AI fluency and new capabilities with the judgement, pattern recognition, perspective and organisational wisdom accumulated over a career.

The defining tension is not simply how leaders adapt to AI. It is how they lead an organisation through an AI transformation while simultaneously transforming themselves as leaders. Experience is an asset — and becomes even more powerful when combined with AI fluency, curiosity and new capabilities.

Three interconnected levels

Self · Leadership · Organisation

01

Self

How experienced leaders build AI fluency, adaptability and new capabilities while leveraging the judgement, pattern recognition and experience accumulated over their careers.

02

Leadership

How leadership evolves in an AI-enabled organisation: decision-making, judgement, human-AI collaboration, trust, adaptability and leading by example.

03

Organisation

How leaders translate their own transformation into organisational transformation — shaping culture, workforce capability, skills, operating models, adoption and performance.

The connecting principle

Experienced leaders are not passive recipients of the AI transition; they are responsible for leading it and modelling the adaptability, learning and transformation they expect from their organisations.
